Question—what do rapper Ne-Yo, Pretty Little Liars actor Chad Lowe, and Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky have in common? OK, we'll make that easy for you. They all said "I do" at the same magical venue—Terranea Resort, A Destination Hotel, in Palos Verdes, California. We say "magical" because there is truly something enchanting and out-of-this-world to see the marine layer descend upon the resort, perched on a cliff, and transform it into a misty wonderland.
And if you think you have to travel far to see this, you're wrong. Located only 30 miles south of downtown L.A., the eco property spans 102 acres and includes an amazing spa, four ocean-view pools (because you can never have enough of looking at the ocean), on-site gourmet restaurants, bars, cafes, and basically, everything you need to have the perfect wedding.

Surrounded by the Pacific on three sides and facing Catalina island, the luxury resort is only about a 15-minute walk away from the picturesque Point Vicente Lighthouse, and offers plenty of good spots perfect for a romantic pre-wedding photo shoot (you may even get photobombed by a curious harbor seal or a pod of dolphins in the background). There are several scenic hiking trails around the resort and with so many activities on-site like yoga, golf, kayaking or falconry (yes, that exists), you can rest assured that your guests are not going to get bored, should you decide to make your wedding a weekend-long affair.
Terranea definitely has a Mediterranean feel to it, so if you've always dreamed of having a destination wedding but thought you couldn't do it for whatever reason, definitely consider the ocean-front property.
Depending on how many people you are planning to invite, the resort has three ballrooms that could accommodate up to 900 guests. For those of you who want a more intimate affair, we'd recommend renting out a couple of casitas, really charming houses, for you and your closest family and friends where you can enjoy a private weekend at the resort.
The best thing about it, though (beside the views, obviously), is their Farm-to-Terranea program which means that you and your guests will dine on farm-fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, and honey, produced in the nearby Catalina View Garden. There is even a Sea Salt Conservatory on site where you can observe how salt is made (and, later, add it to your dish).
Seriously, we're not surprised that the resort has turned into a celebrity-favorite spot for getting hitched.
