You're Going to Need Tissues for This Former Nickelodeon Star's Wedding Video
The way to someone's heart? Music.
It's one thing for a celebrity to surprise us by having gotten married in secrecy—but Max Schneider, a former Nickelodeon actor, took it to the next level by dropping a wedding video that nearly brings us to tears. Oh, and did we mention he wrote and sang the song featured on it? Yeah...
"I wrote 'Lights Down Low' when Emily and I first started dating," the former How to Rock star wrote in the YouTube description (h/t Brides). "I had never invested so much of my heart into a song before. I knew it was special and the feelings encapsulated within it would live with us for the rest of our lives."
The aww-worthy video features moments from the couple's special day, all the way from getting ready to the reception—and even some scenic views from a building's rooftop. Schneider's vocals perfectly match the visuals, especially during the clearly-emotional ceremony.
"I knew she was my soulmate and the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with," he added. "I planned the proposal for months and ended up surprising her with the help of our mutual best friend Katie who introduced us. I proposed to Emily in the same place we had our first date, with a harp player along while I sang 'Lights Down Low.' We got married in April."
Schneider went on to say that he's glad his lady love "took that leap of faith" and that "life has a funny way of bringing the most special people into your life when you least expect it."
Congratulations, Max and Emily—we wish you many years of happiness together.
