I'm no stranger to trying new workout classes, but I am usually a creature of habit when it comes to my weekly routine. I run, I take a reformer class, and I keep my sanity intact with twice-weekly hot vinyasa flow sessions. At least that was the case, until a marathon injury left me unable to do anything high impact for 4 months straight (cue the tears here). In a desperate attempt to keep moving despite my doctor's orders to avoid the gym like the plague, I discovered Bari Studio, a low impact, high-intensity cardio workout done on mini trampolines.

At first, I was hesitant (anything on that little trampoline will barely even raise my heart rate, I convinced myself), but I could not have been more wrong. I thought I was working out hard wearing out my joints on the treadmill, but one sess at Bari left me pouring in sweat and gasping for air, leaving me to realize I've been working out wrong all along. In the video above, I learn all about the workout with head Bari instructor Jenny Holahan and what makes it so unique.
