Nail Art Know How: Seeing Spots
Welcome to #ManiMonday, a video series in which we show you how to create original nail art designs from a new pro every month.
To quote the great Jenna Lyons of J. Crew, leopard is a neutral. Clearly nail pro Jessica Washick agrees: She designed this week's feline-inspired mani.
To get the look, start with clear base before applying two coats of Essie's cool-toned beige "Make The Cut" polish ($12; essie.com).
Next, use a striper brush dipped in Floss Gloss' "Black Holy" polish ($8; flossgloss.com) to create small, cross-hatched patches randomly throughout the nail. Allow the polish to dry completely.
Then, dip a fresh striper brush in Deborah Lippman's golden "Autumn In New York" polish ($20; hsn.com) and add even smaller cross-hatched sections on top of the patches you already created.
Finish with clear top coat, and you've got yourself a puuurrrfect new mani.
