Miley Cyrus Reunites with Her Best Friend Lesley, the One from “See You Again”
Miley Cyrus’s “See You Again” is arguably one of the greatest pop songs of all time. It’s fun. It’s fast. It made those of us who didn’t watch Hannah Montana stop and ask, “Who’s Miley Cyrus?”
Now she’s busy singing about her love with Liam Hemsworth and belting it out on duets with Godmother Dolly Parton on Younger Now. If you haven’t listened to the album, stop what you’re doing and go right now.
But back to “See You Again.” Those of you familiar with the song know there’s an infamous lyric in which she sings, “My best friend Lesley said, ‘Oh, she’s just being Miley!'” after Cyrus details how awkward she was around a potential love interest. But who, exactly, is Lesley?
Over the weekend, Cyrus celebrated the release of Younger Now not just with producers and those who helped her on the project, but yes, also with Lesley Patterson, the Lesley.
In an Instagram gallery with four collage-like shots, she wrote, “My best friend Lesley said ‘Oh she’s just being Miley’ !!!! Sooooo glad my bestie since I was a littttle BB made it to my #spotifyfansfirst #YoungerNow release party! Life is soooo full circle!”
The cute photographs include adorable throwbacks from when they were children, and new shots that show how much they’ve grown up.
If you woke up this morning and said, “What ever happened to Miley’s Lesley?” there’s your answer.
