Move over, Cole and Dylan Sprouse, there's a new set of power twins ready to take over Hollywood. Since a certain pair of Olsens decided to decamp for the world of fashion, the Sprouse siblings have been the go-to twins for Disney Channel fodder and darker projects like Riverdale—hey, there's no ruling out a guest spot for Dylan or a role as Jellybean. But fans of Friends should prepare for a double dose of nostalgia, because Noelle and Cali Sheldon, the twins who played Emma on Friends, just turned 16 and are ready to make it big.
According to Elle, the twins celebrated their sweet 16 last month with a congratulatory Instagram post.
"Happy 16th birthday to my #1, my fav and my built in best friend," Noelle wrote alongside a photo of the twins and a very sleepy dog. "Cali, you are my soul mate and I’m so lucky to have you as my bestie! Love you so much and so excited for a lifetime of adventures with you."
But that's not the only thing the two have to celebrate. The magazine adds that they wrangled a role in Us, Jordan Peele's latest project. And having a Friends pedigree seems to be a great addition to their résumés, because they're starring alongside some big names: Elisabeth Moss and Lupita Nyong’o are also connected to the project.
Like his last movie, Get Out, Us is a horror flick that's sure to have a twist or two. Cali and Noelle's roles haven't been revealed just yet, but if a saccharine-sweet Sprouse can go from starring in a brother-buddy comedy series to a CW-style noir, there's no doubt the Sheldon twins can hold their own in a twisted thriller. And as for an entire home movie and fashion empire? Wait a New York minute before all that.
