Vin Diesel loves a good karaoke session, as shown by his numerous videos singing along to Rihanna’s “Stay,” Maroon 5’s “My Heart Is Open,” and Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again,” plus his Carpool Karaoke “audition” of “Consider Yourself” from Oliver. So Jimmy Fallon, the karaoke and lip-sync lover that he is, offered his Fate of the Furious guest a microphone for a chipmunk-voiced version of “Lean on Me” on Monday.

“I thought it’d be kinda fun if, since it’s The Tonight Show, we wanna do something different, you know, this microphone has a chipmunk filter,” he told Diesel. Taking center stage, the actor was accompanied by a green screen, depicting stock footage of babbling streams, romantic sunsets, wheat fields, and relaxing beaches.

Diesel helped kick off The Tonight Show‘s Orlando stay with Shaquille O’Neal and Pitbull, who also hit the stage for a “Lip Sync Battle” against Fallon before the rapper performed “Options” with Stephen Marley. It was a very musical start to a week that celebrates the grand opening of Fallon’s Race Through New York ride at Universal Orlando Resort.

Diesel’s been diving into music with various online videos, but he also recorded a mix of Selena Gomez’s “It Ain’t Me” earlier this year, transforming the song into a duet. “For years I have done low tech karaoke for you die hard fans, often showing a different and emotional side. But I was never invited into a professional studio, or never had the courage to try it for real with an engineer and everything,” he wrote at the time.
