IT Cosmetics—the beauty brand that brought you one of most-searched, best-selling CC creams of 2017—is back with a new CC cream made with a formula the beauty brand has never offered before in its line of face products.

I recently had the chance to try IT Cosmetics' new CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 ($38;, and I can confidently say that if you loved the company's first CC+ cream, you’re going to love this one even more–especially because it comes in 12 shades.

While I typically tend to use both a moisturizer and a matte foundation every day, this new matte CC cream eliminates the need for two separate products—say "hello" to making more room on your vanity!

I prefer CC creams—also known as color-correcting creams/complexion corrector creams—to BB creams because CC creams tend to provide fuller, all-day coverage with a thicker formula.

While both are supposed to help reduce redness and the appearance of pores, I personally would rather start with a more substantial base and apply only once in the morning without having to worrying about reapplying throughout the day. Plus, the It Cosmetics CC Cream's color-correcting quality really did make a difference—it evened out my skin tone and added a subtle glow without extra shine.

And the first day I wore the IT Cosmetics CC cream, I noticed it did go on pretty thick, but I was able to fully blend it evenly across my face and neck. Side note: I use my hands for blending (the old-fashioned way) because I haven’t adopted the idea of a makeup sponge yet.

Another factor that sold me on this $38 tube of CC cream was the fact that it’s also an anti-aging serum. If I’m going to be using something every day, of course I'd rather it help reduce those pesky lines and wrinkles over time. And by the way, this new formula didn't clump in some of those lines and wrinkles like other CC creams have before.

Even though I have combination skin, if I use an oilier product at the start of the day, my face is extra oily toward the end of the day, and this matte version prevented excess oil.

Not only has this CC cream been an amazing foundation to quickly apply during the end of the summer, but I know it’s also going to come in handy this winter.

Thanks to IT Cosmetics, I have a new makeup bag staple.
