For months now, slicked-back hairstyles have been taking over the beauty world. Celebrities like Hailey BieberTracee Ellis Ross, and Selena Gomez frequently wear their hair in sleek buns. Most recently, Zendaya wore a larger-than-life floral dress with a glossy, wet-looking hairdo earlier this week. If you want to try the trend but you’re not sure how to get your hair back without pesky flyaways, tons of TikTok creators recommend the SNTE Hair Wax Stick that’s on sale for $8 at Amazon.

Of course, using a wax stick to slick back hair is not a new concept; Black and brown women have been using waxes to smooth down flyaways forever, but celebrities have brought extra attention to the trick recently. This probably explains why many TikTokers are posting videos of the look and reviewing the $8 Amazon wax stick, in particular.

In a video with 77,000 views, user @ayeeyoudope demonstrated how they use the wax stick to tame flyaways, concluding that it’s a “10/10.” Another creator, @kerifay, made a video using the product to pull back their hair into a ponytail. They loved how “sleek and shiny” the product made their hair, adding that it’s “definitely a staple” in their beauty collection. And in this video, @lys.mia showed how you can use the stick to slick back your hair in two minutes.

The product is formulated with beeswax for moisture and hold, castor oil to smooth the strands and prevent breakage, avocado oil to prevent dryness, and vitamin E to help repair damage and nourish hair. It comes in a 2.7-ounce tube, and it has a button on the bottom that makes it easy to push up the wax and ensure you get every last drop. You can either apply the product directly onto your head from the stick or rub it onto your hands and style your hair that way.

Whether you’re sick of frizzy flyaways or want to give the slicked-back hairstyle a try, it’s worth grabbing the SNTE Hair Wax Stick while it’s on sale for 38 percent off at Amazon.
