October is the month of all things spooky, but it's also a time to turn our attention to something much scarier than any ghost: breast cancer.
According to BreastCancer.org, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime—that's roughly 12 percent of the female population. And October is a month dedicated to raising awareness, donating, and supporting all the women (and men) affected by this disease.

Various beauty and fashion companies have joined the fight by donating percentages of sales to BCA (Breast Cancer Awareness) charities like Susan G. Komen, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), and many more.
