This month's Netflix delivery certainly reflects the transition from the spooktacular Halloween season to the most wonderful time of the year. Heartwarming classics like John Hughes' Sixteen Candles and the Meryl Streep-starring Julie & Julia are perfect options to have at hand as we approach the flurry of family gatherings to come. And if it's a girls' night in you're planning for, Sex and the City: The Movie will finally become available at the top of the month.

There are also more than 50 Netflix original films and shows hitting the platform in November 2018, including the return of beloved political drama, House of Cards. The sixth and final season will be quite different than those prior (one of the leads will be markedly absent, and you know which one), but it promises to be just as twisted as ever.

And if you've been planning to binge the Jurassic Park anthology, you'd better hurry, as they'll be gone by the first of the month. Other critically acclaimed films like Up in the Air and Steel Magnolias will exit on that day as well.

Keep scrolling for the five releases we can't wait to stream on Netflix this month. After that, check out the full list of what's coming — and going — in November.

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Not ready to let go of the spooky Halloween vibe? Netflix has your back with this classic Dracula flick. You won't recognize him, but Gary Oldman stars as the titular Transylvanian vampire, and you're also in for some vintage Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves (available Nov.1).

I've never seen a John Hughes movie I didn't love, but this one is definitely in the top five. We all remember what it was like to be on the brink of 16 — the teenage angst, the questionable fashion choices, the all-consuming crushes. This '80s nostalgia-fest is just what you need to transition into the holiday season (available on Nov.1).

House Of Cards: Season 6

Claire Underwood is back, only this time, she's ruling the White House alone. It's the sixth and final season of this political drama and although recent real life events have altered the course of the show, I know it won't disappoint (available on Nov. 2).

Outlaw King

Chris Pine stars in the Netflix original film about 14th Century Scottish 'Outlaw King' Robert The Bruce, who bravely lead a band of outlaws to help him outmaneuver the powerful English army who forced him into exile. Florence Pugh and Aaron Taylor-Johnson also star (available on Nov. 9).

Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia

Netflix is killing the standup comedy game lately, so this Trevor Noah special is high on the list of this month's must-watch list. The only bummer? You'll have to wait until practically Thanksgiving for it (available on Nov. 20).
