Last week’s episode of Game of Thrones, “The Spoils of War,” was the most action-packed 60 minutes we’ve seen yet this season, and judging by these new photos from Sunday night’s upcoming episode, “Eastwatch,” the drama is continuing to heat up. In a series of photos just released by HBO, Daenerys Targaryen returns from battle and reunites with Jon Snow, and something is definitely up with these two.
Could they be concerned about Drogon’s wound? Or perhaps something about Drogon’s interaction with Jon is troubling them, as we know the two come face-to-face in the upcoming episode. Maybe Drogon’s reaction to Jon tips them off to a little secret about his parentage. Or maybe, just maybe, they've already found out that Jon Snow is a Targaryen, and now they’re puzzled about that sexual tension they felt in that cave.
In other photos from the episode, Varys continues to help Daenerys plot her battles, consulting with her hand, Tyrion Lannister. Cersei seems to have gotten news of the loot attack, perhaps hinting at her brother Jaime’s fate in one somber image of her alone in bed.
Plus, Sam and Gilly are back, perhaps discussing another major discovery that Tarly has found. After all, that dragonglass discovery has already proven mighty useful.
