Somewhere in Paris, Emily Cooper is trying to pronounce the word heureux.

Netflix’s divisive series about an American marketing executive who arrives in Paris without knowing a word of French has officially been renewed for a second season.

The news was shared via a letter from Emily’s boss, Sylvie. “We are writing to regrettably inform you that Emily Cooper will need to remain in Paris for an extended period of time,” it reads. “Despite her overconfident manner and lack of prior experience in luxury goods marketing, she has nonetheless managed to charm some of our hard-to-impress clients during her short time at Savoir.”

“We love having Emily in Paris,” the letter concludes. “But please don’t let her know that.”

The series’ star, Lily Collins, shared the news on Instagram Wednesday morning along with a video of the cast raising a proverbial glass to season “deux.”

“Deux is better than un. I’m freaking out and beyond thrilled (much to Sylvie’s dismay) to announce @EmilyinParis will be returning for Season 2!” Collins captioned her post. “Thank you guys for the love and support and I hope you’re as excited as we are!!…"
