These Are The New Albums You'll Want to Listen To All Summer Long
Happy first day of summer! Everyone's favorite season is officially here, and with it comes an abundance of brand new music. Summer is the best time of year for blasting new tunes, whether at the beach, on a rooftop, or just driving with your windows down. When you think back on some of your best summer memories, don't a lot of them seem to be accompanied by songs that defined that specific time in your life? Us too.
Halsey: Hopeless Fountain Kingdom
Released on June 2, this one has been out for a few weeks, and it's definitely been added onto our summer playlists. We can't get enough of the album's lead single, "Now or Never." Buy the full album here.
Katy Perry: Witness
This release on June 9 marked the singer-songwriter's first studio album, although she's previously put out two mixtapes and an EP. We've had this one on repeat—specifically the lead single, "Drew Barrymore." Buy it here.
After nearly four years of radio silence from Lorde, she finally gave us a new album last Friday, June 16. With the success of her debut album, Pure Heroine, which won her two Grammys, we weren't sure it could be topped, but we are pleased to announce Melodrama is everything we've been waiting for. Buy it here.
OKNOTOK is a remastered version of the band's third studio album, OK Computer, which came out 20 years ago in 1997. If you're a Radiohead fan, get excited, because this reissue will feature three previously unreleased tracks. It will be released digitally on June 23—you can preorder it here.
Haim: Something To Tell You
We've been waiting so long for this one! After the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, Days Are Gone, back in 2013, the Haim sisters have made us wait four long years for their follow up. Something To Tell You isn't out until July 7, but at least we have two already-released singles to hold us over. Preorder here.
Calvin Harris: Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1
Out June 30, there's no doubt this new album will bring us some bangers. And with the producer-DJ-singer-songwriter's track record of high-profile collaborations, the roster of guest artists on this album is seriously impressive. He's already released a single with Pharrell, Katy Perry, and Big Sean.
Kacy Hill: Like A Woman
The band's upcoming EP, which comes out July 14, is a companion piece to their 2015 studio album, A Head Full of Dreams. It will feature 5 songs, including "Something Just Like This" with The Chainsmokers, which you've undoubtedly already heard.
Available on June 30, this will be the first album from the duo in 15 years. The best part is that their fans made the whole thing possible, raising nearly $500K through a Kickstarter campaign. Make sure to buy the deluxe version, which will feature remastered singles "No Srubs," "Creep," "Baby-Baby-Baby," "Diggin' On You," and "Unpretty."
Lana Del Rey: Lust For Life
Arcade Fire: Everything Now
Planning to be in Europe this summer? The Grammy-winning indie rock band is on a Euro-tour through the summer but will be back stateside starting in August. Everything Now will be out July 28.
Brett Eldredge: Brett Eldredge
This one's for you, country fans! The singer's self-titled fourth album is slated to come out Aug. 4. Catch him on tour now through October.
