Believe it or not, it’s been more than ten years since the world was first introduced to the greatness that is John Tucker Must Die. In fact, the high school rom-com was released on DVD a decade ago to this day. While Sophia Bush, Ashanti, Arielle Kebbel, and Brittany Snow played teens who fell under the spell of Jesse Metcalfe’s titular character, it was the girl squad that their characters formed to seek revenge on the two-timing jock that really won us over—and the friendship continued off-camera, too.
“That whole shoot was really just the best,” Sophia Bush recently told InStyle. “We had such an incredible time together, and there was not a single night that we weren’t doubled over laughing.” The group may have had a blast filming, but they bonded on a deeper level than just having fun together. “Everybody was going through a lot when we were shooting that movie,” said Bush. “We'd have sleepovers, and we could cry on each other's shoulders, and we could go out dancing, and we could just laugh hysterically when someone made some brilliant comedic choice on camera. It was a really incredible experience—hands down one of my favorites when I look back at all the things I've worked on over the years.”
With such fond memories from the set, it’s no surprise that Bush still talks to her co-stars (she even recently dedicated the below #wcw post to them on Instagram). “We do keep in touch,” she said. “Everyone's kind of all over the place so we don't get to talk all the time, but we're always congratulating each other on achievements. And there's always that reach-out where we say, ‘Hey, just thinking about you—how are you? What are you doing?’”
While I'm on the #wcw train -- and it's almost Thursday in Chicago which basically means it's #tbt time -- I have to shout out these bad babes. #JohnTuckerMustDie was an absolute dream because I spent a summer with these ladies. No matter where life takes them, the bond between Bush and her co-stars remains strong. “It's really such a lovely group of women,” she said. “When you’ve got people that, either near or far, are really rooting for you and just think that you deserve the best in life, it's a really special group to have been a part of—and I’m so glad we got to have that experience together.”

We’re glad, too. Now, BRB while we watch the movie again to re-live the glory of Jesse Metcalfe playing basketball in a lacy thong.
