The Best New Movies Hitting Theaters This September
If you’re having a hard time coping with the inevitable seasonal switch, hopefully this month’s newest movie releases can provide some relief.
To start off, horror is kicking off the month with the return of Pennywise, aka the world’s scariest clown, in IT Chapter Two, a sequel to the film adaptation of Stephen King's IT. Then Hustlers follows the week after, a film packed with a cast of showstopping women, including Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, and more playing a cadre of based-on-real-life strippers in NYC. Brad Pitt stars in the sci-fi drama Ad Astra as an astronaut who goes out into the Solar System in search of his missing father. And finally, the long-awaited film adaptation of Downton Abbey will be here toward the end of the month for viewers’ delight.
