On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II announced via Buckingham Palace that she will host President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at Windsor Castle on June 13. This visit will be the Bidens' first in-person visit to the queen of England since the start of Biden's presidency this past January. It's almost something of a tradition for the queen to host American presidents, and she's hosted many of presidents during her 70 years on the throne, which even includes former president Donal Trump and former first lady Melania Trump. The former president recently shared a touching moment he had with the queen's late husband Prince Philip while visiting Windsor. "The Queen and Prince Philip immediately put us at ease with their grace and generosity, turning a ceremonial occasion into something far more natural, even comfortable," Obama wrote to Instagram alongside a photo of the four of them. "Prince Philip in particular was kind and warm, with a sharp wit and unfailing good humor. It was our first introduction to the man behind the title, and in the years since, our admiration for him has only grown. We will miss him dearly." The Bidens are also close with the queen's grandson Prince Harry, whom they met through Harry's charity even the Invictus Games for wounded veteran athletes.
