Ella Emhoff Walked In Her First NYFW Show

The second daughter is solidifying her status as fashion icon.

Hot after the heels of her stylish Inauguration Day appearance, Second Daughter Ella Emhoff made her debut at New York Fashion Week.

Emhoff, who is the daughter of Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, hit the runway during Proenza Schouler's Thursday show wearing an all-black suit. She also appeared in the campaign wearing a leather jacket and yellow turtleneck.

Last month, Emhoff was signed to IMG Models, the agency that represents the likes of Gigi and Bella Hadid, and Karlie Kloss.

"Ella communicates this moment in time. There's a cheekiness and a joy she exudes," IMG president Ivan Bart said at the time.

According to the New York Times, Emhoff is a senior at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she is studying fine arts with a focus on textiles.

"I was pretty surprised when everything with IMG was happening because when I was younger, I never saw that as being part of my timeline," she told New York Times about signing with the agency.

"As someone who, like a lot of young girls out there, had self-confidence issues, it is intimidating and scary to go into this world that is hyper-focused on you and the body," she said, adding that she hoped to be part of the "change" with more diverse models working today.
