Zayn Malik's resume gets longer by the day! A few weeks after the news broke that he is trying his hand at shoe design, the One Direction alum is venturing into television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Malik has teamed up with iconic Law and Order producer Dick Wolf to bring an hour-long boy band drama to NBC, titled Boys. THR reports that the project "centers on the formation of a hugely successful boy band and captures all the excitement, competition, and fun, but also takes an inside look at the pressure that comes with the success."

"Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome," Malik said in a statement.

Malik rose to international fame as part of One Direction, which got its start on the U.K. version of the talent competition show X Factor in 2010. Malik left the group in 2015 to pursue a solo career, and released his first single "Pillowtalk" in January, which debuted in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 chart.

"Zayn certainly brings an authentic point of view to this world where kids are catapulted into fame at a dizzying speed," NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement. "On top of our excitement around the creative ideas being discussed, we have a lot of respect for the musical and digital ambitions behind the project."
