@cmmcdonough asked us: "How can I wear a menswear-inspired hat without looking costumey?"

Our answer: Balance the masculine with the feminine by choosing a coat with soft, fluid lines and steering clear of boys club blazers and brogues (see: Suki Waterhouse and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for inspiration, below). A romantic floral dress paired with ankle boots and tights is spot on. A wider brim and a shot of color also help take a topper out of the prop closet and into vintage boho territory.
