You Have to See Winona Ryder's Stunning Marc Jacobs Beauty Campaign
In the very first campaign shot, revealed on the designer's Instagram last night, Ryder works a sharp cat-eye with subtle highlighting, paired with a statement brow and nude lip. To create the look, makeup artist Diane Kendal used the brand's yet-to-be-released Fine Liner Eye Crayon, Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara ($26), and a tawny beige from the New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick line ($30; sephora.com). #HolidayBeautyGoals, anyone? Though she's giving us serious Hepburn vibes, Jacobs's inspiration for the look actually came from one of his favorite films, The Last Year at Marienbad.
"The flawless, cool, elegant, and timeless chic of actress Delphine Seyrig has long been a reference of mine. The force of the surreal calm and painstaking fetishistic polish of this film and its heroine are truly 'on fleek' and continues to inspire me to date" Jacobs explains. "No one I know could exude the adjectives I've listed as perfectly as Winona does." We second that—and certainly appreciate his use of the term "on fleek."
