Why Salma Hayek Celebrates International Women's Day

In honor of International Women’s Day, Avon Ambassador Salma Hayek helped recognize campaigns that have spoken out against women's violence around the world at the 2nd Annual Avon Communications Awards, held at the United Nations in New York City. Hayek is also raising awareness for the cause by wearing Avon’s new Empowerment Charm Necklace—a $5 piece available at avon.com—and all profits go to support Avon’s domestic abuse awareness programs. “It has an infinity symbol in it to remind you of the infinite potential you have as a woman,” the actress told InStyle.com. “When you live a life free of violence, and even if there is violence in your life, you have to remember that you have infinite potential.”
