While the world is patiently waiting to see if Bachelor Chris Soules gets down in one knee for tonight's finale of The Bachelor (8 p.m. on ABC), our eyes will be peeled for the detail shots of the Neil Lane sparkler that will end up on either Becca Tilley or Whitney Bischoff. But does Chris's ring choice give us any clue that the couple will actually make it to the altar?

Turns out the last three success stories from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette series have passed over the round, pear, and princess cut creations, and instead chosen 3-carat cushion cut stones by Neil Lane. Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock's 3.5-carat rock, with stunning platinum and rose gold bands, was given to her by Chris Siegfried on the season 9 finale. The Siegfrieds, who got married in January, now happily live in Seattle.

Season 7 Bachelorette Ashley Hebert accepted a 3.5-carat cushion cut stone from J.P. Rosenbaum that had 162 delicate handset diamonds along the band. The couple has been married since 2012 and have a five-month-old son, Fordham.

And Bachelor Sean Lowe picked out a gorgeous 3-carat platinum and diamond cushion cut gem when he popped the question to Catherine Giudici. The two were later married in January 2014.

There is no denying that any Neil Lane ring that Soules will pick will be beautiful, but we are secretly hoping that he follows the pattern. The most recent Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman, ended up with an oval-shaped diamond and broke up with fiancé Josh Murray after only a few months. Coincidence? Maybe. But best of luck to Soules either way!
