Here's What You Need to Know About Bachelorette Clare Crawley

This will be Crawley's fifth attempt to find love through the reality TV franchise.

Now that Peter Weber’s Bachelor season is winding down, it’s time to turn our attention to the next leading lady of The Bachelorette: Clare Crawley.

In a departure from recent seasons past, this year’s Bachelorette was not a contestant on the previous Bachelor season. Crawley began her Bachelor journey in a better time, aka 2014.

Crawley made her Bachelor franchise debut during Juan Pablo Galavis’s season of the show, memorably telling the soccer player off with a strongly-worded speech that included the sentence, “I’d never want my children having a father like you.”

Crawley would continue on to the first and second seasons of Bachelor in Paradise in 2014 and 2015, and then The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018. She actually got engaged at the end of Winter Games, to Benoit Beauséjour-Savard, but it was short-lived.

Unlike most members of the “looking for love on TV” set, Crawley retains a normal/non-influencer job — she’s a hairstylist!

Another fact about Crawley? Her age. At 38, she’ll be the oldest Bachelorette in the show’s history. Previously, the title belonged to Rachel Lindsay, who filmed her season when she was 32 years old.

“A lot of people put it out there as this negative thing,” Crawley told Good Morning America regarding her age, “but for me it just is more years under my belt, more learning and knowing what I want, what I don’t want, and what I won’t settle for.”

And what does she want when it comes to love? “I want a man that will take off his armor. I want a man who is strong, that is willing to take off the body armor, open himself up, and be vulnerable, and I think that is some serious strength right there.”

Crawley, who lives in Sacramento, Calif., spends the time she isn’t doing hair or telling f—kbois where to stick it exploring nature and/or hanging with her dogs.

And OK, girl’s gotta eat, so yes, her Instagram does entertain the occasional #ad.

Season 16 of The Bachelorette is expected to begin shooting later this month.
