If you're a fan of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, you’ll definitely want to tune in to catch Rhimes’s latest steamy drama, which premieres tonight (Sept. 25) on ABC. Weber recently stopped by the InStyle offices to discuss the series, which he dubs “pretty dark and sexy.” Here are five things he wants you to know: 1. The title of the show doesn’t mess around. “It’s suspense. There’s sex, but there’s also legit murder,” Weber said. “Everybody’s character will be responsible for something.” 2. His lawyer character plays dirty—and not just in the courtroom. “I’m like the Philly-street-guy-made-good that works for Viola’s character,” he said. “And then I sleep with all of her students, or as many as possible.” 3. A Missouri native, he nailed down a South Philly accent for the role. “It took a lot of trial and error,” Weber admitted. “It’s subtle—it’s not an aggressive accent. The city really has its own tone, and people just don’t have the time to mince words.” 4. His five o’clock shadow shows that he’s not your typical lawyer. “I felt that having facial hair made sense for this guy. He’s very well kept, but there’s something about the beard that’s sort of a subtle nod to everyone that he’s not necessarily on the up and up,” he said. “You usually don’t want an attorney to have a beard, and that’s why I thought it was so important that he did.” 5. Expect the show to get people talking—and typing. Weber has faith that #HTGAWM will be trending on Twitter in no time. “It’s a big hashtag, but it’ll be good because nothing else will have those six letters in that order,” he said. And like the gladiators of Scandal, the series will likely find itself with a cleverly nicknamed fan base, Weber says. “They’ll come up with something to call it, I’m sure!” Time to get creative!
