Of all the looks makeup artists attempted to achieve last night on their star clients, a healthy, lit-from-within glow, like that seen on the ageless 48-year-old Robin Wright, was surely the most sought after. Taking inspiration from Wright’s long sleeve, two-piece Ralph Lauren gown, makeup artist Tricia Sawyer even made the actress’s radiant complexion the focal point, saying it was “all about a classic look, with polished, glowing skin.”

Sawyer relied on Orlane’s products to achieve Wright’s luminous look, first prepping skin with the brand’s Brightening Micellar Water ($85;, followed by three pumps of Anti-Aging Oxygenation System ($550; to the star’s face and neck. “I’m a huge fan of this product and use it on my clients AND myself," she tells us, "What it does for the texture and tone of the skin is just amazing.” For an optimal finished product, and one that ensures makeup stays put throughout the night, Sawyer emphasizes the importance of hydration and advises, “the more hydrated the skin, the less the skin tries to absorb the makeup.” As a last step prior to makeup application, Sawyer used her fingers to press Orlane’s Absolute Skin Recovery Masque ($90; all over Wright’s face, which she claims helps with absorption and stimulates skin. No fountain of youth required!
