‘Tis the season to add a festive touch to your cat’s wardrobe! Just in time for the holidays, Germany-based brand, Cat in Berlin has launched their Catmas collection, filled with purrific pet accessories, including bow ties of candy cane and Scandinavian reindeer prints. Each item is designed and handcrafted in their Berlin studio with fabrics sourced from around the world—guaranteed to make any furry friend look, well, oh so dapper.

Cat in Berlin is the brainchild of Tjaša Storm, a seasoned journalist who also works in social media focusing on the beauty and fashion industry. She was inspired to launch the company about two years ago, when she had no luck finding a cool accessory for her cat, Max Muca. “That’s when I came up with the idea of the first real self-tie bow tie for pets and started developing the product,” Storm tells InStyle. After receiving much positive feedback (and love!) from friends and the online community on the newly produced items, Storm decided to create a brand around the bow ties and Cat in Berlin was born. Now the company also offers scarves, ties, and catnip toys. Join the fun and snap a pic of your pet along with its name and location, in any of the brand’s items with the hashtag #catinberlin and share it on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, to be a member of their Gentlecat’s Club.

The new Catmas collection includes a colorful selection of accessories—with dashing names, of course. We can’t get enough of the green and red plaid ‘Naughty or Mice?’ bow tie or the printed ‘Scratch Me Under The Mistletoe’ one. “While the focus is on the product itself and the fabrics used, the presentation also plays a big role. We work with local and international designers to create our packaging to ensure wrapping and gifting are a fantastic experience,” says Storm. Speaking of presentation, many of the Cat in Berlin items are modeled by Storm’s cats, Max Muca (aka Max), a 9-year-old adopted Tabby cat and Mr.Min(i), (aka Mini) a one-year-old British Shorthair kitten.

“I’m always searching for new fabrics and have many ideas. If something catches my eye or inspires me, I will make some first prototypes from it—when Max and Mini approve them, they go into production,” says Storm. Upon each order, items will arrive in a vintage style gift box along with a how-to guide on tying a bow tie, scarf, or tie. Can you say purrfect for gift-giving?
