Listen up ladies: Some of these designer goodies are more than $1,000 off.

Once the holiday season comes to close, the best sales role around. So while shopping may seem like the last thing you want to do after the holidays, oftentimes, it's worth it. It's best to spend your time, energy, and money shopping the brands that always end up on your wishlist and those you normally wouldn't gravitate towards at full price. After all, there's nothing quite as satisfying as getting a good deal on a piece that you've been eying all season. This is also the time to pick up great winter items that you can wear for the remaining months (the coldest have yet to come!) and next season.

Now, there are two strategies that work best when shopping sales: 1. either pick out the most outlandish piece that you usually wouldn't splurge on since you won't wear it too often (à la the wool embellished 3.1 Phillip Lim tank); or 2. seek out classic pieces that will never go out of style (see the gray pleated Sandro skirt).

We chose 12 of our favorite designers and pulled three must-haves that are well worth purchasing post-holiday. Read on to find the piece that speaks to you—and be sure to "add to basket" before it sells out.
