After working her platinum layers on our March cover, Nicole Kidman has crossed over to the dark side. The star's brunette makeover comes for her role in the upcoming movie Strangerland to play Catherine Parker, a mother searching for her two lost children in the Australian outback. Kidman was spotted on the film's Sydney set with her darker strands, and while she typically favors lighter hair hues -- like her natural auburn or a pale blonde tone -- her new 'do is fitting for her role, and flatters her complexion.
When it comes to maintaining healthy strands, Kidman takes an inside-out approach, and goes easy on the heat styling -- a move inspired by one of her daughters. "I always take hair, skin, and nail Utiboost vitamins from a company named Swisse, which I'm the global ambassador for. I down them religiously, and they've made my hair thicker," the star told InStyle. "I almost never straighten my hair anymore, I let it go curly and wild. It's taken me 40-something years, but I embrace the curl! My littlest daughter has the same hair and she likes it when my hair is curly, so I wear it for her." So sweet!
