In the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle, L’Oréal Paris celebrated its 10th Annual Women of Worth program at The Pierre hotel in New York City last week. At the anniversary event, L’Oréal ambassadors like Karlie Kloss, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell, and Freida Pinto helped honor ten female philanthropists from across the country, all of whom have devoted their time and hearts to giving back to their communities.

This year, each of the ten women received a $10,000 grant from L’Oréal Paris to further their work. Also announced: The National Honoree, Schinnell Leake, who was chosen through a public vote and awarded an additional $25,000 to continue the work of her organization, Extra-Ordinary Birthdays. The program puts the spotlight on homeless youth in the Washington, D.C. area, staging personalized birthday parties for children throughout the year. As a professional event planner, the work came naturally to Leake, who has thrown more than 400 birthday parties of the course of five years.
