Country and pop music fans alike were treated to an epic performance Wednesday night at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tenn. In one of the most hotly anticipated acts of the evening, Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton—who nabbed New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year—joined forces onstage, effectively bringing down the house.

The super talented artists first got the crowd going with Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” off of his debut Traveller album, before JT “put a little Memphis up in here,” paying homage to his own Tennessee roots with “Drink You Away” from The 20/20 Experience.

After Wednesday night’s rousing, twangy, guitar-strumming performance and Timberlake’s induction into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame earlier this month, we can’t help but wonder if a country crossover album might be in JT’s future. Eager fans will be waiting, either way.
