Just when we thought we couldn't love Ed Sheeran any more, he went and did this. During an appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge today, the 24-year-old singer premiered his version of Christina Aguilera’s hit 2002 track "Dirrty," and it is the cover we never knew we needed to hear.

While it's significantly stripped down from the original (pun intended) and the star is definitely not sweatin' until his clothes come off, the song is impressive nonetheless. The best part? When Sheeran single-handedly takes on Redman’s entire rap near the end as he continues to play the acoustic guitar. Give Ed Sheeran some room, he's comin' through.

Watch him perform "Dirrty" below (we promise you'll want to listen more than once), and just for kicks check out Christina's original music video for the song, too.
