Jimmy Fallon added a new game to The Tonight Show repertoire on Thursday called The Whisper Challenge, but may have picked the worst guest (in the most hilarious way possible) to introduce it: Blake Shelton.
The Voice coach—who will be pulling double duty as host and musical guest during this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live—called the segment "the stupidest thing, literally, I have ever been a part of in my entire career." In the game, one person must listen to loud music on earphones and try to guess a phrase that is being mouthed to them by the other player.
The country crooner was pretty much lost from the get-go ("It's a contest? We're, like, keeping points or something?") and couldn't figure out Fallon's clues like "pumpkin spice latte" and "Cobra Kai." Fallon, on the other hand, all but dominated the challenge, and figured out Shelton's pronunciation of 50 Shades of Grey and Benedict Cumberbatch. To make matters even funnier, the flustered Shelton claimed he'd never heard of Cumberbatch, asking Fallon, "That's a person?"
