Viola Davis Reveals Why She's Feeling Wishy-Washy About What She Will Wear to the Oscars
Viola Davis may have easily selected a hot pink custom David Meister creation to wear at Alfre Woodard's Oscar's Sistahs Soiree in Beverly Hills, Calif., last night, but the actress still hasn't chosen a gown for the Oscars this Sunday. The How to Get Away With Murder star is set to present at the Academy Awards, and she revealed to InStyle that her decision all comes down color.
"There are two dresses that are being prepared for me and I cannot make a decision yet," Davis says. "They're totally different, and they're totally different colors, too. One is a really great color, purple, which I've never worn before, and the other one is monochromatic. I think that's where the choice lies, in the color, and that's how I have to make the decision."
And when it comes actually selecting a look, Davis shared that her personal team of fashion police are quick to weigh in. "Besides me making the choice, it’s my daughter—my four-year-old daughter—and my husband. She'll say to me, ‘I don't like that dress mama.'"
