Victoria's Secret model Romee Strijd is pregnant and expecting her first child with longtime partner Laurens Van Leeuwen.

AShe announced the news on Instagram and revealed that she's been battling with the hormonal disorder, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). "2 years ago I got diagnosed with PCOS after not getting my period for 7 years," she wrote in a lengthy post. She went on to say that becoming a mother has been her dream so the diagnosis was scary for her. Strijd claims that her PCOS was because of stress she was putting on her body to maintain a certain weight and lifestyle for her job.

"I never felt mentally super stressed so it was hard te understand this, but my life consisted of traveling all the time (no biorhythm), working out every day, eating super clean (restricting foods). I think I pressured my body to much, and honestly every body is so different but I think my weight was not good for my body to function properly and couldn’t handle the constant traveling," she said.

She went on to say that she finally got her period back and is now looking forward to having a family of three with her partner. Strijd also shared a sweet photo of her and Van Leeuwen. She's wearing a cut out Cult Gaia Serita Dress and he's wearing an all black outfit.

In the wake of many changes at Victoria's Secret (namely, the cancelation of the annual show), Strijd and Van Leeuwen have created a successful YouTube channel that chronicles their life and travels. Her nearly two million subscribers will almost certainly be looking forward to watching her next chapter unfold.
