Victoria's Secret Model Candice Swanepoel Shares Her Secret to Staying in Shape (Smoothie Recipe, Included)
Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel is the picture of perfection, on and off the runway. So when the South African supermodel paid a visit to the 34th street New York flagship store this week, we had to find out how it is that she always looks so stunning. She chatted with InStyle about the secret to staying in shape, what's at the top of her list for the holidays, her go-to smoothie recipe, and more.
Fitness must be an important part of a supermodels day job. What do you do to stay fit?"As a young girl, I was a ballerina in South Africa. When I have children I will definitely encourage them to dance. Ballet really helped to form the shape and tone of my body. Dancing is really challenging, you can feel you muscles burning, but that how you know it's working."
We hear you love smoothies, what's your go-to recipe?Yes, I love making smoothies! I make this one all the time which is great for your skin and helps to retain muscle after a workout.
Ingredients:1 small package blueberries6 large strawberries1/2 cup milk1 scoop whey protein powder1/2 tsp Maca powder1 scoop collagen powder1/2 cup waterIce
Instructions:Place all ingredients in a blender, top with a handful of ice, BLEND, and drink. Yum. This smoothie is great for your skin, and helps to retain muscle after a workout.
What product do you use to keep your hair looking so glossy? "Before a Victoria's Secret show I always use a deep conditioner because I know my hair will be worked on a lot.
