Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: Liu Wen's Tattoos Took Six Hours to Prep
This year marks the fourth time Chinese model Liu Wen walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, but 2012 is different than any of her past experiences, thanks to a few dozen hand-painted tattoos. “There were tattoos everywhere!” the 24-year-old told InStyle.com at the show’s after-party, where she showed off a successfully-cleaned tattoo-free body. “It took six hours to put on the tattoos and it took thirty minutes to take it off. I took it off backstage, rubbing alcohol all over.” The airbrush makeup artists behind Temptu created the hearts, mermaids, birds, butterflies and other designs for her turn down the runway, led by tattoo artist Stephanie Tamez. So, was it worth it? “It was great!” she said. “Great models, great stage, I was smiling through the whole thing!”
