Victoria Beckham Needed an Outfit for the People's Choice Awards, So She Made It Herself
Victoria Beckham clearly isn't worried about coffee stains. Or red wine. Or dirt.
The fashion designer arrived at the People's Choice Awards in Santa Monica in an immaculate white textured suit featuring an oversized blazer and tailored trousers, which she styled with black pumps for a bit of contrast. "This is a suit I custom made for myself," she told Giuliana Rancic on the E! red carpet, adding that she's going to include it in her next collection.
The pop star turned fashion designer is being honored with this evening's Fashion Icon Award for both her posh personal style as well as her eponymous fashion label, which turns 10 years old this year. She is the inaugural recipient of the brand-new award, because, I mean, have you seen her?
Beckham has recently found herself in the spotlight after it was revealed that she would be the sole Spice Girl not joining Baby, Sporty, Scary, and Ginger Spice on their forthcoming reunion tour. But there's no bad blood between the members of the girl group that once dominated the global stage.
The 44-year-old shared on Instagram that although she "won't be joining my girls on stage again," being a part of the girl group was "a hugely important part of my life."
"I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year," she added. "I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!"
That said, she gave a bit of a nod to her girl group roots during her acceptance speech, telling the audience that she was encouraged to give the fans "what they want ... what they really, really want."
