Over the years, Victoria Beckham has established a personal style all her own, and although the designer does switch things up from time to time, there's one aspect to her wardrobe that we've come to expect: heels. That's why when Beckham stepped out this weekend in New York City, we were more than a little surprised to see that she chose to wear a pair of flats.

The U.N. Goodwill Ambassador delivered a speech that highlighted the work being done to end the global AIDS epidemic at the United Nations Social Good Summit. And for the occasion, she chose an ensemble of slim black trousers, a black sweater worn over a crisp-collared white blouse, and white-and-black pointed flats. Beckham was in good company at the summit—Connie Britton and Adrian Grenier also spoke at the event.

Beckham tweeted a few photos from the 2015 Social Good Summit, including one of her meeting Queen Rania of Jordan, whom she called a "beautiful, inspiring mother."

And although David Beckham wasn't there in person, the soccer stud showed his support for his wife with a sweet Instagram message.
