Vanessa Hudgens Changed Her Hair Color for the First Time in Years
Her new color is a great subtle change for brunettes.
Vanessa Hudgens' hair has gone through many iterations since her High School Musical days. Take her big voluminous curls, blunt bob with bangs, and long, loose waves as a few examples of the looks she's worn over the years. But while Hudgens can't seem to stick with a single hairstyle, her cool, almost-black hair has been her signature color for years.
However, 2020 is the year that all changed, because Hudgens showed up to the premiere of Bad Boys For Life on Jan.14 with dramatically lighter, warm caramel brunette hair.
Celebrity hairstylist Chad Wood gave the new hair color an Old Hollywood vibe, styling it in glamorous loose waves.
Then celeb hair colorist Cassondra Kaeding confirmed Hudgens' hair color change on her personal Instagram. "Vanessa killing it tonight with new #haircolor," Kaeding captioned the post.

The beginning of a new year tends to come with the irresistible urge to start over fresh, and a hair makeover is one way to help leave the last 12 months behind. Along with the new year, Hudgens' hair change also comes fresh off of reports that she and longtime boyfriend Austin Butler have ended their relationship.
But whether or not Hudgens' new look is her way of kick-starting 2020 or signaling a new chapter, this one thing is for sure: a lighter hair color looks damn good on her.
