On Thursday evening, fashion's elite took a break from Milan's runway shows and presentations to celebrate the launch of Valentino's latest eyewear collection, Valentino Mirage. 

‘We are very happy to present the first collection—under the collaboration with Luxottica," said Valentino CEO Stefano Sassi. "We believe that this partnership, that combines our savoir faire and Luxottica’s great expertise, will be the occasion to develop a great project within the eyewear segment, bringing this accessory line to the same success as all others."

The collection includes both sunglasses and eyeglass frames in a variety of shapes and colors for all different types of personal styles. According to a press release from the brand, the collection is "an homage to the beauty and individuality of contemporary women."

Under the leadership of longtime Valentino Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, "the craftsmanship, the attention to detail and to the materials used make the glasses an accessory with a unique value, just like all Valentino creations."

The collection will be available at all Valentino boutiques and a selection of specialized retailers starting mid Feb. 2017.
