It's what's underneath that counts! For Hanro of Switzerland, the Swiss brand that prides itself on dreaming up quality loungewear and undergarments, those words have never rang truer. That's why the brand has been a leader in the lingerie front for more than a century.

In honor of its 130th anniversary, Hanro has staged an art exhibition "130 Years of Dressing the World's Most Seductive Women" that chronicles the most iconic moments that has spanned the brand's history through interpretive illustrations from a select group of artists, including Marc-Antoine Coulon (pictured), Esther Bayer, Izak Zenou, Petra Dufkova, Catherine Parr, and Miles McMillan.

And what are those moments exactly? For one, there's Nicole Kidman as Alice Harford who wore a sheer Hanro cami and high-waisted briefs in Eyes Wide Shut (pictured, above). And that famous scene in The Seven Year Itch when Marilyn Monroe's white dress billows up and flashes a brief glimpse of white cotton Hanro knickers.

Amid memorable on-screen moments, other illustrations featured in the exhibit include style icons, like Jaime King (above) and Kate Upton (below) in Hanro pieces. The exhibition will be up from now until Jan. 15, 2015 at the Hanro of Switzerland flagship store on 806 Washington St. in New York City. If you're in town, walk through the brand's greatest hits. And if you're not, take part in the celebration with a 20-piece capsule collection "Universe of Hanro" inspired by archival pieces.
