But now one Italian brand has applied the trendy tonal technique to lingerie. Cosabella introduced its Trenta Ombre Collection, which includes six styles—a thong, a mini-kini, hot pants, a padded bandeau bra, a soft bra, and a push-up bra—in three different colorways that transition from a bolder hue to a more subdued shade. "The colors we've chosen are perfect for summer and flatter all different skin tones," senior designer Elise Granjot told InStyle.com. To create the ombre effect (the word roughly translates to "shade" in French), each piece is made in the base color that's the lightest shade in the ombre pattern. Then, a spray dye is applied by hand directly onto the lace prior to being stitched, and the pigment is slowly increased to create the shading effect. "It's like an art," Granjot said. What's her style recommendation? Pair one of the soft bras with a semi-sheer cotton T-shirt so the color can peek out from underneath. Double props if you're already rocking ombre locks like Kylie Jenner and Rumer Willis (above). Shop Cosabella's Trente Ombre collection at shop.cosabella.com (prices range from $35 to $108).
