A Tribute to the Life of Iconic Footwear Designer Vince Camuto
Friends, family, colleagues, and admirers gathered this morning to pay tribute to legendary designer Vince Camuto at a memorial service at St. Ignatius Loyola Church on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Camuto passed away on Jan. 21 at the age of 78 from cancer.
His far-reaching impact was evidenced by the almost completely filled church. Tory Burch delivered the first of three eulogies, calling Camuto a true visionary and her greatest mentor. Alex DelCielo, the designer's business partner, and Robert Camuto, his oldest son, gave euologies as well, speaking to Camuto's infectiously positive personality and unwavering business savvy.
Throughout his decades-long career, which included co-founding Nine West in 1978 and founding the Camuto Group in 2001, Camuto garnered quite the celeb following. In honor of his life, we're taking a look back at the designer with some of his many celebrity admirers. Click through our gallery to see just some of the many women who loved Vince.
