At a statuesque 6-feet-2, English actor Tom Hiddleston towers over much of Hollywood’s leading men. And that’s exactly what he did Thursday night at downtown Manhattan’s Metrograph theater, where the former Crimson Peak and Midnight in Paris favorite was on hand to celebrate his latest starring role as country legend Hank Williams in I Saw the Light.

The film is set to find Hiddleston at his best; however, it’s what he wore to the evening celebration that further showcased just how fine he is. For the event, hosted by The Cinema Society and Hestia & St. Germain, the always-smiling gent said goodbye to the Western-style getups he rocked on film and instead opted for a sharply tailored three-piece gray suit. He paired his perfectly fitted number with a pastel blue shirt and matching tie, along with brown leather oxfords.

I Saw The Light co-star Wrenn Schmidt also delivered a dose of glamour in a two-toned dress with black ankle-strap sandals. Guests like Alan Cumming, Matthew Broderick, and John Benjamin Hickey, among others, were also there to support the new film. So what happened after the credits rolled? The celebrations kept going inside Jimmy at The James Hotel, where we’re sure all eyes were on (who else?) Hiddleston himself. I Saw the Light is out in theaters starting today, March 25.
