Mariah Carey is changing zip codes: The singer revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that she has officially signed on for a Las Vegas residency show.

“I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars. This is a special event for me,” Carey said on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airs today. “And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this cause I’m gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1’s, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them.”

Even Carey is in disbelief that she will perform so many of her top hits. "I’ve never done this before. Some of these songs I’m like 'Really, I’m gonna do this again, okay?'" she told DeGeneres.

With this gig, Carey will follow in the footsteps of some other major divas, including Britney Spears, who extended her residency at Planet Hollywood into 2017, and Celine Dion, who is taking a break from her Vegas post.

Concert dates for Carey haven't been officially announced yet, but Caesars Palace is expected to reveal them soon. Watch her make the announcement and surprise some fans with tickets here:
