The 2016 Teen Choice Awards surfboard looks good on Chris Evans: Captain America himself took home a coveted award at Sunday's show in the Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy category and, of course, he appeared adorable throughout the process.
Evans earned the honor for his role in this year's Captain America: Civil War and beat out a slew of actors and their superheroic roles: Ben Affleck (for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Hemsworth (for The Huntsman: Winter’s War), Henry Cavill (for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Josh Hutcherson (for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2), and his Civil War co-star Robert Downey Jr.
At the awards ceremony held at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Gina Rodriguez and Ross Lynch announced the win and presented Evans with a pink and green surfboard. The actor happily accepted the award and took to the stage in a blue bomber jacket, a white tee, and black slacks.
"I always wanted one of these things!" he told the audience. "Thank you so much. This means really a lot to me. I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel like a little bit of a mistake but I'll take it. Thank you to everyone who voted, thank you to the teens, thank you to Marvel. These movies take so many people—they really deserve some credit."
"I love making these movies. I love playing this character," Evans said as he wrapped up his speech. "This makes it all the sweeter."
