In case you missed it, Ed Sheeran released two new songs on Friday, and needless to say, they're pretty amazing. Titled "Shape of You" and "Castle on a Hill," these new songs are the perfect way to start 2017 on a high (musical) note.

And we're not the only ones losing our cool, as Sheeran's BFF Taylor Swift took to Instagram this morning to express her thoughts on the new songs. "OH MY GOD OKAY ITS HAPPENING EVERYBODY STAY CALM," she captioned a screenshot of Sheeran's song "Shape of You."

We're doing our best to keep our cool Tay, but we're freaking out, too!

The new songs came out after more than a year of silence, social media and otherwise, from the British crooner, as he announced last week that he would be releasing new music on Friday, Jan 6. Fans were unsure what to expect given the cryptic nature of the Instagram posts.

Hopefully, this is just the beginning of new Ed Sheeran music in 2017, making our start to the new year that much sweeter.
