The old-school Nintendo game is one of the best-selling and most beloved in the world: with more than 500 million copies sold since its debut in 1981 as reported by The New York Times. And technology literally wants to leave us with absolutely no time to rest, so they are bringing Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and more to us in a forthcoming game for our iPhones and iPads. Nintendo has done its best to avoid the smartphone craze, but it's getting in the game now (no pun intended). Nintendo hopes to avert piracy by only making the game playable with an internet connection, so you may have trouble attempting to get in the zone on the subway, in flight, and in other places where WiFi isn't constant. And though segments of Super Mario Run will be available for free, full access will come at a $9.99 cost. There haven't been many games out there that have been able to charge that much successfully, but we have a feeling all the 80s and 90s nostalgia right now will make that a minor issue. #AvoToast Lovers, Rejoice—Apple's New Emojis Are Here! And according to Apple, 20 million people had signed up for notification of the game's release back in October. It's going to be epic—experts think it might be the biggest app launch in history. The game is said to be available at some point today, but we still had to sign up for notifications just a few moments ago. So stay tuned for this big release.
