Scouring through sales takes a lot of time and effort, but nothing pays off like finding the piece you laid eyes on months ago that was too pricey for your pocket. Here, InStyle’s senior market editor/digital correspondent Dana Avidan Cohn does all the hard work for you. Each week, Dana finds the best of the hard-to-resist steals out there.

Isabel Marant jacket, $378 (originally $755),

Alexander Wang coat, $558 (originally $1,395),

Ca&Lou bracelet, $111 (originally $223),

Toga sweater, $177 (originally $355),

Proenza Schouler short sleeve sweater, $238 (originally $595),

Stella McCartney loafer, $336 (originally $842),

Theory cropped trousers, $177 (originally $355),

Acne Studios boot, $324 (originally $650),

3.1 Phillip Lim dress, $229 (originally $575),

The Row sunglasses, $226 (originally $376),

Why it’s a score: Sales are a great way to build out your wardrobe in a more affordable manner. I like to buy more expensive items on sale rather then less expensive pieces at full price at the beginning of the season. I find I end up getting something that I will covet more for seasons to come.

Check back next week for the next gotta-have-it sale item and check out Dana’s weekly #HowToWearIt column where she breaks down how to work the latest trends into your wardrobe. Plus, if you have a burning style question, tweet at Dana (@InStyleDana) using #AskDana for instant advice!
